Seven Cedars Equine offers the following mare-care and breeding services:
Breeding Soundness Exams including full physical exam, perineal assessment, and palpation/ultrasound for cyclicity.
Cycle tracking for efficient and effective timing of breeding - our goal is to breed each mare only once!
Breeding with fresh, cooled/shipped and frozen semen.
Additional cycle management to support fertility and conception, including uterine lavage or infusion with antibiotics or other products.
Diagnostics for “problem breeders” including endometrial culture/cytology and biopsy.
Cycle management for embryo transfer, oocyte retrieval and ICSI (in partnership with the Hofmann Center for Reproduction at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania).
Ultrasound diagnosis of pregnancy as early as 12 days after breeding.
Comprehensive care for the pregnant mare, including regular ultrasound preg-checks to track fetal development, gestational and pre-foaling vaccines and nutritional assessment.
Three ways to get your mare bred: 1. Full-service mare care at Seven Cedars Equine for a per diem rate, 2. Trailer-in to Seven Cedars Equine for a reduced service rate, or 3. Ambulatory services at your home barn (subject to travel rates and farm-call fees).
